STUDENTS: SUBMIT YOUR WORK FOR A CHANCE TO WIN AN ILLUXCON SCHOLARSHIP
IlluXCon will be again be offering student scholarships in 2013—all-expense paid trips to the show, awarded to the very best students in the field. These scholarships will be funded by the sales of donations from artists and collectors. The total number of scholarships to be given out will be determined dependent on the funds generated by these auctions.
The scholarships are open to any student attending an accredited institution to study art. However, at this time fully-paid scholarships are limited to those living in the United States. Those living outside of the U.S. may apply for a scholarship, but will receive only a limited payment - 5 nights' hotel and $600 in cash - regardless of the actual cost of their travel and expenses.
The process is simple:
Fill out the registration form and click the "Choose File" button to select and upload your single best image. (Please limit the size of your uploaded file to no more than 2000 pixels in the longest dimension, 4 Mb max file size, JPG format.) These images will be gathered and presented to a panel of five judges who will make the final selections for the scholarship awards. U.S. winners will have their ticket, travel, and hotel costs covered by the show, as well as a stipend for food and merriment. Overseas winners will receive 5 nights' stay in the IlluXCon hotel plus a $600 stipend to defray travel costs.
The deadline for applications is JUNE 15th, 2013. Scholarships winners will be notified on JULY 1st, 2013.
All images submitted remain the exclusive property of their creators. However, IlluXCon reserves the right to use submitted images to promote future scholarships, and also to use submitted images (without artist name/signature/identification) in the live art director critique during the show.
