BY PLANE

Altoona is served by the Altoona-Blair County Airport (approximately 20 minutes from hotels/show venues) and the University Park Airport in State College (approximately a 45 minute drive from hotels/show venues).

The Altoona-Blair County Airport (AOO) is served by several daily flights from Washington-Dulles.  University Park Airport is served by daily flights from Detroit, Philadelphia, and Washington-Dulles.  Rental cars are available at both airports.  If renting at Altoona, use Hertz and—to make your life simple—call the airport and book the car directly with the Hertz desk there.

BY AMTRAK

Altoona was once known for its Conrail locomotive shops—including the largest roundhouse in the world.  Times have changed, but the city is still a regular stop on Amtrak routes in the northeast.  Conveniently, the Amtrak station is located two blocks from the Heritage Center in downtown Altoona.
